In Nursery this week the focus was on environments and habitats. They made their own sensory and role-play activities throughout the week, including sea-life, arctic and forest small-world trays. They talked about why there are no dinosaurs living on the earth, and why the polar bears are losing their ice.
The children made their own dens and caves and went to the garden to explore, and to see what living things could be found in the pond. On blue and green day, the children sang and played percussion instruments for their parents. They chose ‘Friend to the world’ and ‘Autumn leaves’. What a busy week full of learning opportunities and fun!
