Whilst learning through the story of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ the children in Reception 1 recapped the language of size to compare length and height. They found a giant’s footprint and drew around their own to measure it with a tape measure. They also built beanstalks using different materials and used mathematical language such as taller, tall, biggest, bigger, shorter, shortest.
