Last week Ms Castell accompanied 3 DP1 students who took part in a cultural exchange with a school in Italy. The students stayed with host families, attended the Italian secondary school and had cultural visits around the area. This week Year 6 completed a fitness circuit. Each station focused on a different component of fitness such as balance, coordination, speed and flexibility. This is part of their science topic of healthy lifestyles and wellbeing. They have also enjoyed some cooking lessons as they learn about the importance of a balanced diet.

In R2 Spanish classes the children are working on the topic of occupations. They have been talking about what their parents do for a living and what they would like to do when they grow up. We hope that some mums and dads will come and tell us more about their jobs.

This week the students from Year 9 enjoyed a lovely excursion to Sa Dragonera and Sant Elm beach. In this beautiful and protected Natural Parc they walked to the lighthouse to enjoy this unspoiled part of the Tramuntana mountains with its interesting landscape, fauna and flora and participated in an educational activity. They had time to enjoy their picnic lunch

This week the Nursery children have enjoyed taking learning outside. Some children observed trees around the school, touching the trunks and branches and taking note of the colours. They then painted their own trees, using watercolours. Meanwhile, other children went on a sensory walk to the garden. There are so many smells, textures and interesting sounds to enjoy.

The Junior School children were busy baking and making treats, at home and at school, so that we had a huge selection of delicious home baking for our Easter cake sale.
